I. Reply to this post, because I would like to say a couple of words about you.
II. I will also tell you what song reminds me of you when I hear it.
III. I will also tell you what celebrity/public person you remind me of, either personality-wise or looks-wise.
IV. I will also give ONE WORD that I associate with you when I think of you.
V. We all could use a boost now and then, so steal this for your journal and make someone else's day as well.

nothing exciting going on in life. i'm reading about 3 books at once, all about helen keller. they're all very very boring and put me to sleep at night. on the upside, my mom is pulling me out of seminary due to my lack of sleep, and then in may i'm doing a sleep study for insomniacs! :- ) christmas was good, i got lots of stuff i wanted and a lot i didn't expect but really like. i tried to not peak this year and it worked. i had a real suprise face for 3/4 of my presents.

so the subject pretty much sums up the DC trip. Our bus, which we thought was going to be so kickass.......turned out to be not so cool. Actually, it wasn't that bad. On the way down it was tons of fun, lots of good times and food. I sat with nick, behind Sether and Tara, across from Kevin and Steph, diagonally from Elizabeth and Clare. Behind us....was another story. Anyway, we watched 3 QUALITY, QUALITY movies on the way down which set the mood for the rest of the trip. 1. DUMB AND DUMBER 2. DANCES WITH WOLVES 3. FORREST GUMP
FG wasn't that bad, it was the first time i'd seen it all the way through. DWW tho, omg. 3 hours of pure hell. and the chaperones wouldn't let us turn it off. omg. so after a long night of traveling, dinner at baltimore inner habor (chipotle kicked ass), we arrived, unpacked, and went to sleep ( i roomed with kels, fuji, sheryl, and lisa shull.)
Interview day 1.... we got dropped off at our appt 1 1/2 hrs early. So my group and i went around the corner to the capitol to take pics and prep for the interview. Got a call 45 mins before it was to start asking to move it. Hell no, bitch. It ended up happening, and the guy was....long winded and gave a 30 min answer to a 2 second question. Though we were gonna be late for the bus, so we trucked out, only to learn that trusty phyllis was "on her way" Phone convo 1 Greg: "Phyllis, we're waiting, how long is it going to be?" Phyllis: "Not that long, i'm on my way!"
45 min later.... G: WHERE THE F ARE YOU??? P: on my way!
needless to say, we ate "lunch" at the same cafe where we had breakfast. We were on time for a second appt, the best one of the trip. After that appt i got a purse (faux kate spade!) and we trucked on the the next appt, another boring one. We ate lunch at subway (on mike thanks to his subclub cards!) and met up w/ the ecstacy group. Went to the smithsonian, met up w/ kev and sether, then went to union station and had an awesome dinner at great wraps. then went to the ESPN sports zone arcade where much gaming was done. Bowling, driving, air hockey, basketball....basically everything i played. We were all really sweaty and gross.
Interview day 2 on capitol hill....good meetings, started out with starbucks! 2nd meeting was really bad cuz the guy was an ass, but i guess the others were okay. got some free peanuts and diet coke. Lost mike for a little bit but he was recovered. Then me, clare, mike, and greg went out walking for like 4 hrs with our leftover time, and sat in on the HofR for like 10 mins. Me clare and greg fed our peanuts to the squirrels and birds in the park. Then we got picked up, changed at union station, then danced our dirrrty little asses off on the boat cruise. Gross dinner, bad music, good times.
Last night at the hotel was the best one of all. Got a call from Kev and Seth's room "FREE PORN ON HBO!!!" so we turned it on and watched it. lol. Phone convo w/ kev Me: KEVIN! K: Whatup, bitch M:you watching this? K: Hell yeah M: That's me! K: The one with the uneven boobs? M: Oh, no. sorry.
Next morning we got binder/folder things from mallaber and ackles. Went to arlington and had fun on the trolley, then lunch at some park w/ a cool sculputure and bad coca-cola. awful crap. Bus ride home was a little dif, ppl switched seats on us. Kev was deathly ill, i was coming down with something too. We stopped at Country Corner Buffet(Pukefett). Gross. Slept. Ate. Watched movies. Got home. Slept.
All in all it was actually pretty fun. I got to know a lot of people a little better. Now, 10 participants are the walking dead and its great. thankfully we have monday off.
pics to come!
<3 Tara

10:10 am - yay! interview time
|
1. Who is the most eligible bachelor: ezequiel, napoleon dynamite, gelly man, or the titanic pimp? Explain your reasoning. That's definitely a tough one.
Ezequiel -takes you on dates to burger king -lives far away so you never see him (is it mexico???)
Napoleon Dynamite -mormon -hideously cute -good catch phrases -likes chapstick -has pet llama
Gelly Man -acne extreme -mickey mouse sheets -stuffed animals in corner -makes up love songs
Titanic P-I-M-P -makes love song videos -has manboobs -isn't afraid of commitment
overall winner===NAPOLEON DYNAMITE, just cuz he's mormon. 2. What are the best and worst parts of school this year? Best part==having theater, being able to relax and not worry about anything else going on during that time // driving Worst Part==not seeing my 5/6 crew every day :-( // knowing this is the last year 3. What is your heritage? Describe, to the best of your abilities, where your ancestors are from. Do you have any famous relatives? I'm a mut, i think. Maybe like 25% Irish, and some german and english thrown in. My most famous ancestor is William Bradford from the Mayflower. He helped write the mayflower compact. then his wife fell overboard.
4. Pick a Broadway Diva to portray you in "Tara: The Musical", a new production based on the story of your life. oooooh Jennifer Laura Thomson could definitley do it!!! She's got red hair and a great voice. And she's not a diva-bitch like Idina (whom i still love, btw, just not her attitude).
5. Pick five songs to include in the show. "Shuffle off to Rochester" "Just your average Mormon Girl" "Ukranian Dreams" "19 and Married, 20 and Pregnant" and the show stopping, raise the roof hit, "Bertha Please"
Rules for play: 1. Leave a comment saying you want to be interviewed. 2. I'll reply and give you five questions to answer. 3. You'll update your LJ with the five questions answered. 4. You'll include this explanation. 5. You ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed. And it just keeps going and going and going (hopefully)

work sucks, as usual. and people are dumb idiots. they should figure out how much money they have to spend BEFORE they go shopping instead of raking up 60 bucks in groceries, and only have 30 bucks, then going thru my express lane. thanks people for making my life hell.
in other news.... -laynerz' b-day was a sucess. happy 17th! -nick passed his drug test! and katie got hired at target too! -i have no money. -school starts in less than a week. are y'all ready? -hahahhaha to everyone reading jane eyre -i skip right to english 200 honors when i get to college thanks to midge.

8:36 pm - my own seeds shall be sown in New York City....
|
the last few days have been eventful. my aunt came to visit w/ her kids, and the other aunt is coming tomorrow w/ her kids. i love my cousins and i'm glad i get to see them, cuz they live so far away. so yesterday i went to niagra falls w/ my aunt and the fam. it was so fun. i did maid of the mist for the first time, got some incredible pictures, and can now saw that i walked to canada. yes, thats right. we walked across the rainbow bridge from the american side and back again. i'm suprised we even got into canada. my 16 year old cousin likes to cause trouble. read:
customs officer (looking confused at the assortment of ID's from VT and NY)=where are you headed today? dan (cousin)= canada, eh. customs= what are you going to do? where do you intend to do? dan= look at the falls.
on the way back....
co= where did you all go today? dan= canada. co= did you buy anything that you're bringing back into the country everyone (as we stand there w/ 5 bags from the hershey's store)=yes. chocolate. (what a stupid question. couldn't they see our bags)
anywho, so yeah, it was quite an adventure to canookian land.
today we went thrifting in the city. i got some ballet slippers (you never know when you'll need some ballet slippers), a shirt from gap, a new weg's shirt (NEON GREEN HELL YES!) and a fairport lacrosse upstate classic shirt. i look silly in it because, well, i don't play it. but o well, it was 50 cents. its purple and green tie-dye. the ultimate.
tomorrow i'm getting my hairs cut(e). i'm getting at least 3 inches off, possibly 4. I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT. haha. i said freaking. my mom is trying to get me to stop saying "suck(s)" and "freakin(g)". let's see if she's successful.
yay for michael phelps and katie hoff and the womens gymnastics team! <333333
i'm outtie. go clueless!
